North Expeditions

Our organisation provides trekking arrangements throughout Simiens National Park. Our organized expeditions attract groups from 2 to 10 trekkers, whereby all logistics are handled by us. We provide and arrange the tents and further camping gear, mules and mule drivers for transport of your baggage and our tents, gear and food, and guides and scouts as needed or prescribed by the National Park. You just carry your day pack and enjoy the hike, while we arrange for your breakfast and delicious dinner, provide your lunch package, and coffee and tea at camp. Many satisfied customers have already enjoyed our services to facilitate their worry-free treks.

Flexible itineraries

Whether you choose one of our standard itineraries for 3 or 4-day hikes or up to 10-day expeditions, or whether you prefer us to create a tailor-made trek including the highlights that you choose, we can make you a complete and competitive offer. Our guides are from the area and have served trekking parties for many times throughout the entire area. They flexibly adapt to your pace of trekking, and are familiar with all sights, wildlife, flowers and other particulars - knowledge that you can draw upon at any time.

Individual catering

Evening dinners are prepared with much care, with fresh ingredients, and are served at your individual table with chairs next to your tent, or in a sheltered area of the camp. Ample bottled water is provided throughout the treks. On days when lunch will be taken during the trek, your lunch pack will be provided to you when you set off in the morning. Both in the morning and evening we provide our customers with warm water for their personal washing and care.
